    Job Description

    As a Talent Acquisition Specialist with OMES you will enjoy:

    Job Details

    • Full-time 40-hour work weeks.
    • Support the OMES Human Resources team
    • Salary up to: $70,000 based on education and experience

    Responsibilities

    • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process. *
    • Coordinates the offer process with the hiring manager and the Human Resources Business Partner; drafts offer letters; advises on overall hiring process. *
    • Continuously monitor open positions and identify positions or teams that may need additional recruitment efforts. *
    • Builds relationships with professional organizations, universities, and other partners to develop talent pipelines. *
    • Leads candidate selection process through reviewing applicants, screening candidates, performing reference checks, verifying previous employment, etc. *
    • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
    • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
    • Coordinates with Public Affairs on recruitment outreach via communication distribution and social media.
    • Represents and coordinates agency’s participation in recruitment events and job fairs.
    • Collaborates with Human Resources Business Partner and managers to develop and maintain job descriptions.
    • Trains hiring managers on best practices for interviewing and equips them with tools for successful hiring; advises on selection techniques and best practices.
    • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. *
    • Create and deliver recruitment metrics to HR leadership to inform talent acquisition strategy.
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies. *

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • Office setting
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.
    • Occasional travel may be required.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field such as business administration, or equivalent work experience.
    • A minimum of two years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
    • Professional HR certification preferred.

    Preference will be given to candidates who possess

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
    • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
    • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
    • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
